The soundtrack is as expertly crafted as the over the top violence that just keeps coming at you from the screen. It’s vicious, it’s savage, it’s well choreographed, and it’s so over the top regarding the violence that at times it’s actually almost cartoonish, yet, it’s not. John is forced by a pledge to jump back into the hell fire, and it burns him and everyone around him for 2 hours onscreen. The movie, the look of it, is lavish, poetic, and stunningly filmed however, it’s at the expense of any morality or anything even resembling normal sensibility. Beautifully filmed dances of savage death between John and so many onscreen, that you’ll lose count. Then the killing begins, and it’s a grand opera of bloody killing this time around.
